Who’s your 5?
Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
The majority of my time with people is spent inside our gym. For that, I am lucky.
That’s because there are people who inspire me there. They are “Go-Getters”! They have big goals are working hard towards them.
I have also actively tried to surround myself with others who can make me better.
Who’s your 5? What are you going to do about it?
Do they encourage your goals or do they pull you down?
If you want to go to the gym are they right there beside you in class or do they try to convince you to bail? Do they understand when you don’t have free time because you are pursuing a dream or do they make you feel guilty for it?
Your top 5 real estate is too valuable for complainers and excuse-makers. Don’t fall for the guilt trip.
“The people that helped you get where you are, may not be the same people to help get you to where you want to go”.
I don’t know the origin of the quote but it gets tossed around in my Brain Trust group frequently.
The point is you can make change. You can surround yourself with the right people for you.
